Explaining the different formats
What is the advantage of an eBook format? An eBook is not a hard copy book. It is an electronic version of a book that is sent directly to your computer through your email. Your ebook will be in PDF format and will open once you have installed Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. Before you try to open your book, make sure you have this installed. It's FREE! Go to our home page for a link to install it or go to www.adobe.com to download it from there. The advantage to an eBook is that it is almost instant-no waiting for your purchase to arrive in the mail! You may make as many copies as you like from the eBook for members of your household. It is a copyright infringement to email the eBook to someone else or to make copies of the materials for someone outside of your household.
What is the advantage of a CD format? A CD format will contain your purchase on a CD for you to put into you disk drive, open and print the pages. An advantage of a CD over an eBook is that you will have a hard copy (CD) of your purchase. No risk of it getting erased from your computer or becoming "lost" because of a computer crash. Another advantage is that you may make as many copies as you like from the CD for members of your household. Once again, it is a copyright infringement to make copies of the CD for others outside your household or to make copies of the curriculum for someone outside your household. The disadvantage of a CD over an eBook is that it is not instant. You will have to wait for it to be mailed to you.
